By Oluwatoyin Mathnuel
Due to the popular saying of " Where two elephant fight, the grass surfers most' made the non- governmental organisations of Centre for Human and Socio- economic Rights raised alarm of unrest that may emerged regards a civilian coup in NURTW due to the imposition of the dissolved Parks and Garages Managers on authentic leadership of National Union of Road Transport Workers in Lagos state.
". In furtherance of the mandate of CHSR and the overriding quest of civil society stakeholders to defend victims of abuse of human rights and to promote the cause of justice, peaceful CO- existence in the society therefore compelled for a follow up on earlier clarion call on April 28, 2022 on the potential disruptive motive of the now dissolved Parks and Garages Managent in Lagos state .
As patriotic Nigerians the Comrades again compelled to alart the general.public of the inherent danger of imposing Musliu Akinsanya ( MC Oluomo) led parks and garrages which is not recognised as an affiliate of the NURTW on the legitimate structure and leadership of Alhaji Fatai Adeshina led National Union of Road, Transport Workers ( NURTW) which is duly recognised by the Nigeria Labour Congress ( NLC)
All Nigerians hold firm to freedom of Association regards the constitution which MC Oluomo had display been the leader of Parks and Garages Management. Therefore, it is not permitted by law for anyone to poach , hijack the leadership of an organisation that he/ she is not a recognised member having been suspended, expelled in line with rules and regulations guiding such organisations.
Therefore, the CHSR at the recent press briefing held on the 19th of September, 2023 implored Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu, IGP Kayode Egbetokun to resist the pressure to be dragged into the selfish agenda of individuals as well urges Gov. Sanwoolu to impress contentment on Mr Akinsanya ( MC Oluomo) as the chief manager of parks and Garages so as to avoid unnecessary unrest , lost of lives and properties in Lagos State as it was recently reported at NURTW National Hq in Abuja , Nigeria state capital.
