The weather was friendly as the palace of HRM Eze C.C NWOKEDI " The Eze Ndigbo of Ijegun / Ijedodo area of Ikotun in Lagos state was filled to the brim by families, friends, business associates, non- Igbos well wisher with various Igbo cultural heritages display of attairs, foods, hair styles with traditional beats and dancing steps.
Eze Nwokedi who was an orphan at avery tender age could not but pay back good to the society that was cruel to him as a young lad.
". I suffered as a boy whose father died at age 7, as a teenager growing into an adult I slept in an uncompleted buildings as well as inside the shops as a trainee that had to fend for himself, but here am I today to the Glory of God, it is not how far but how well.
My humanitarian act is like an agreement with God Almighty as he blesses me, I will surely give back to the society ecpeciallly the less privileges, the widows, empowering the youths which I have been able to do with satisfaction before and within my one year on the throne.
Recently, Eze continued 130 widows were given various relief pacakages and empowerment of 70 women and youths . This is just a chip of an ice berg, since I have known my calling, I will put in my best possible till my last breath" Eze C.C Nwokedi concluded by imploring well to do Nigerians , Monarchs to touch lives for there is joy in giving as a popular saying of " Givers Never Lack"
Aside his charitable act, Eze Nwokedi marks his a year on the throne with installation of Chief Esther Ihechi as The NGWU KUFERE MBA and Chief Ndubuisi Ebem as "THE URU KANA CHUKWU, also award presentations to notable igbo beloved who has been torching lives, contributing immersly to the society, as well as their country homes.
At Eze Ndigbo of Ijegun Ijedodo OFALA celebrations on Sunday the 26th of March, year 2023 was Eze Ndigbos in Lagos State, dignitaries from all walks of life, beneficiaries of Eze Nwokedi's good will, the media as well masqurades which displayed made the event a memorable one indeed!
