Sail Edutainment Media has conferred awards of excellence to successful entrepreneurs and personalities in various organisations at the 5th Edition of Outstanding Women in Africa Awards (OWAA 2021).
At the award event held on Saturday July 17, 2021, Success Abu-Idris, CEO Sail Edutainment Media noted that the award event, with the theme, “Sustainable Women Leadership Empowerment In Africa” is aimed at celebrating the notable achievements of personalities who have done much to improve lives with their respective professions, as well as to recognise top dignitaries and entrepreneurs who have contributed significantly to drive entrepreneurial development in Nigeria. Women have great impact on the society. Great women use their positions and achievements to improve the lives of others and their communities.
The award ceremony honoured outstanding personalities for their service and contributions within the community in the following categories: Outstanding Woman in Leadership, Woman of Achievement, Outstanding Woman in Media/Journalism, Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur, Outstanding Woman Advocacy, Outstanding Woman Mentor/Sponsor, Outstanding Woman in Human and Public Service, Outstanding Woman Culture/Community Service, Outstanding Woman Philanthropist/Charity and Rising Star.
An awardee, CEO of Candy Factory Production Media and Event, Princess Lilian Odumosu; who was awarded with the Outstanding Media Personality of the Year Award, noted that the award was to encourage individual efforts in promoting nation building with their various services to humanity.
"I am delighted to be conferred this award, great thanks to the organisers. I also give them my full support as they recognize the achievements of impactful individuals in society."
Sail Edutainment Media is a media outfit that promotes social morals, organizes entertaining and educative events and also create a platform for mentoring. SEM organized its first event in May 27, 2010 children’s day and that marked the beginning of many successful events, including Independent day events.
