ORILE AGEGE LCDA HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS' CONSULTATIVE FORUM FOR YEAR 2024 BUDGET AND FISCAL PLANNING.

“That we have kept to our promise to Renew, Rebuild and Restore the glory of Orile Agege is there for all to see, but the role played by you ,our dear stakeholders since we assumed office cannot be underplayed“ these were the words of the Executive Chairman Hon. Johnson Sunday Babatunde as he convened the stakeholders of Orile Agege for a consultative forum in preparation for the Year 2024 Budget today Friday, 10th of November, 2023 at the Council Secretariat.
The primary aim of the consultative forum is to collate requests, contributions and suggestions from stakeholders in Orile Agege so as to help in the preparation the year 2024 budget, aligning it with the community's needs and further develop an all inclusive and participatory governance in LCDA.
The Council Boss, Hon. Babatunde in his welcome address stated that the outstanding success of his administration through the laudable programmes and projects such as the construction of several roads and Drainages, rehabilitation and equipment of schools with furniture and writing materials , several empowerment programmes amongst others would not have been possible without the unflinching support and inputs from the stakeholders.
He further stated that it is that time of the year again to rob minds on how to continue channelling actions appropriately and also yielding to the yearnings of the people of Orile Agege .
All stakeholders who spoke at the event acknowledged and commended the Executive chairman’s administration for its unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of life of all residents, but like Oliver Twist asked for more.
In his response, the Executive Chairman assured and promised all stakeholders that all there yearnings and desires would be duly addressed in the forthcoming budget.
The Council Manager , Dr Adekoya Adesanya in his closing remarks , assured all stakeholders that no stone would be left unturned in preparation for the next budget so as to meet the desires of all and sundry.
In attendance were the Council Chairman, Hon.Johnson Babtunde, Vice Chairman, Hon. Khafilat Akanni Pedro, Leader of the house, Hon Wale Fayemi, SLG, Hon James Agboola , Councillors ,Other Exco Members, Management Council of Baales, Council of Chiefs, religious leaders, Law Enforcement officers, Artisans, People living with disabilities, Market Excos, Youths, CDC/CDA Exco, Ward representatives amongst others.
