OFALA/ IRIJI IRREGULARITIES: EZE NICHOLAS CLEARS THE AIR, COMMENDS JOURNALISTS

Eze Ndigbo of Ejigbo under Oshodi / Isolo LG area of Lagos state AMB.EZE NICHOLAS EMENIKE NJOKU ( Eziolwu bu Ndu) in the presence of an Igwe from Anambra state, Lolo Ugoeze Njoku and a Chief had cleared the air regards the irregularities of the security operatives attached to the 30th of September 2023 OFALA/ Iriji yam festival tending news of sporadic shootings.
The head of the Ndigbo community in Ejigbo area of Lagos state made this known at a press briefing he summoned after viral news of the police sporadic shootings at the first Ofala/ Iriji festival .
Eze Nicholas admitted his unaware of the incident though the ugly occurrences was very unfortunate as the officers attached to EZEs and dignitaries were in attendance for the August gathering . He was glad that there was no casualties.
Eze Nicholas tendered his sincere appology as he appreciated the journalists for calling his attention to such act which had taught him to be cautious of happening around him as well cautioned him for future occurrences . Eze also appluded the media for been fair in the course of discharging their duties .
It will be recalled recently of viral news of disbanding Eze Ndigbos in Lagos and it's environs which the President of Ohaneze Chief Sunday Ossai refuted .
