
Lagos CP Decorates Newly Promoted Officers, Reaches Out To Families Of Deceased Personnel

Tuesday, 11th of April year 2023 was a day to behold in the life of newly promoted decorated officers at the Lagos Police Command HQ Ikeja as the Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Omohunwa decorated well deserved 36 senior officers to a higher rank.
The CP in his statement stated "His officers are most diligent and resilient that deal with most complex set of crimes in the country, therefore deserve to be honoured with promotion.
CP Omohunwa as well implored the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba to continue to give special consideration in his reward program to officers serving in the state.

Speaking further, he emphasised that the incentive would make such beneficial officer serving in the state to know he is being appreciated for the great job been done.
The Commissioner of Police Lagos Command also pointed out that the welfare and promotion scheme represents a critical component of the agenda and leadership vision of the Inspector General of Police.
CP Omohunwa insisted IGP Usman Alkali Baba has been consistent in ensuring his officers with unblemished records are put forward for promotion as at when due subject to available vacancies.

His words, "On behalf of the Lagos State Command, I wish to specially convey our appreciation to the IGP. In doing so, like Oliver Twist , to also remind the IGP that in Lagos State Command, we’re not only composed of the highest numbers of Police officers in the country, we also constitute the crop of the most diligent and most resilient in this country. We deal with the most complexes set of crimes, meaning we face higher level of challenges.
To crown up the memorable as well as an emotional day, CP Idowu Omohunwa presented cheques to next of kin of personal who lost their lives in the course of serving their father's land, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, stated the funds will go a along way in attending to financial need of the deceased families, most especially in the area of childrens’ education.
