INSIGHT GLOBAL NEWS
I am writing to express my grave concern about the ongoing conflict in Sudan and to call for an immediate end to hostilities.
As Hon. President of the African Refugees Foundation dedicated to promoting peace and human rights, we have witnessed firsthand the devastating impact that war has on communities.
According to the Hon. President, "the current conflict in Sudan has resulted in countless deaths, displacement, and human rights violations."
She stated that innocent civilians have been caught in the crossfire and have suffered greatly as a result.
"Women and children have been particularly affected, with reports of sexual violence and forced recruitment of child soldiers."
As an NGO, we believe that every human being deserves to live in peace and security. We urge all parties to the conflict to put down their weapons and engage in constructive dialogue to find a peaceful solution to this crisis.
The international community must also play a role in facilitating this process by supporting peace negotiations and providing humanitarian assistance to those affected by the conflict.
We call on the United Nations and regional organizations to take urgent action to address the situation in Sudan. The international community must stand together to condemn the violence and work towards a sustainable peace. It is only through a concerted effort by all parties that we can achieve lasting peace and stability in Sudan.
We urge all stakeholders to put aside their differences and work towards a common goal of peace and reconciliation. We stand ready to support any efforts towards this end and call on all parties to join us in this vital mission.
Chief(Mrs) Opral Benson OON.
Hon. President.
African Refugees Foundation.
