"AJIRANLAND GRABBERS MENACE; MURDER OF A YOUTH LEADER - CHSR SPIT FIRE !

As it was in the days of unrepentant, uncompromised famous human rights activists like late Chief Gani Fawehinmi ( SAN), late Comrade Dr. Bekololari Rasome-kuti and the likes so it is till date.
Though, some known activists have compromised; yet those that believe in the struggles of justice, fairness and equity remain firm in the "A luta continua; vitória é certa" as in "No Retreat, No Surrender untill the masses is finally delivered from the crush of the "BUJUAZIS".
The Centre for Human and Socio-Economic Rights (CHSR) blows hot in a recent press conference towards Lagos state Government mute regards Ajiran land Grabbers menace in Eti-Osa Local Government after the previous press conference held on the 18th of April, 2023 due to Ojomu community original land owners plights, death of one Mr Sheriff Ishola Salami "AKA Agboworin" an indigene was recorded.
The unfortunate murder of Mr Sheriff, a community youth leader as well as a firm opposition to land grabbing activities in Ojomu community made CHSR spit fire and promised Lagos state government a scores to be settled with the public opinion court if decisive action against Ajiran land grabbers is not taken as well as fishing out the perpetrator of gruesome murder of the father of three kid in a broad daylight.
The Civil Society Stakeholders under the leadership of Com. Alex Omotehinse and other concerned human rights activists is not bothered about the recent staged protest at the palace of HRM Oba Akinloye Tijani Sateru 11 led by Mr Ahmed Tajudeen who has been fingered in land grabbing cases by victims but rather urged the Lagos state goverment to protect the status of Obaship and Chiefs authorities as the custodians of culture and heritage of the community as vested under the Lagos state Obas and Chiefs Law of 1981.
In bid of justice, fairness and equity, the Civil Society Stakeholders at a press briefing held on the 26th of April, 2023 demand Lagos state government and Nigeria Police to put an end to unnecessary harassment of authentic allotees and rightful land owners in Ojomu community and Ajiranland as a whole.
To also investigate forgery allegation of DEED OF ASSIGNMENT and other land related documents duly authorised, signed with the authority of Ojomu family as well as Lagos state land registry. Gov Sanwoolu is also implored to give immediate directives to relevant agencies particularly Task force on Land Grabbing with the view of bringing to halt illegal activities of land grabbers in Ojomu community and other affected communities in Lagos state.
CHSR also seek prompt investigation by Lagos State Police Command regards the gruesome murder of the son of The Bashorun of Ajiranland in person of Mr. Sheriff Ishola Salami on the 18th of April, 2023. As the concern activists concluded by asking Lagos State council of Traditional Rulers.to speak out in unison against land grabbing activities in their domains and in entire Lagos state.
