It is worrisome and  a concern to behold as The Civil Society Stakeholders under the plateform of Centre For Human And Socio- Economic Rights ( CHSR) with the leadership of her President Com. Alex Omotehinse converged at the International Press Center to wave into Ajiranland Grabbers menace.

The CHSR are deeply concern by the continuous threat to public peace due to the consequences of unlawful activities in Ojomu community Eti- Osa Local Government of Lagos state.

This perilous act of Land grabbers headed by one Mr Ahmed Tajudeen engage in wanton harassment of rightful allotees and criminally trespass on legitimately acquired lands at Ojomu community otherwise known as AJIRANLAND is already out of hand which gives The Eleko of Eko HRM Oba Rilwan Akiolu and The Ajiran of Ajiranland Oba Akinloye Tijani Sateru sleepless nights.

The alarming parts of these ugly incidents is  the said Mr Tajudeen and his partners in crime circumvent legitimate land documentation with the seal of Lagos state Ministry of Lands to counter original landed properties owners from Lagos State ministry for over years as the activities of the Land grabbers is contrary to Lagos state property protection Law of 2016 section 2 (1)  where the use of force or self help by anyone to take over any landed properties is prohibited.

These land grabbers has forcefully taken over several  landed properties, erected  illegal constructions on the forcefully acquired land  including a land of one Alhaji  Babatunde Shonubi situated at plot 23 , block LXXIX, municipality on 18, Kamal Shashi street, Bakare Estate, Agungi Lekki  which was legally acquired by VIRTURES of DEED OF ASSIGNMENT dated February 25, 2010, registered with reference Number 45/45/2264 at the land registry Alausa, Ikeja as well as another landed property belonging to one Mrs Georgina Omolara Adefolaranmi  situated at plot 7, Block LXXIX on  Ojomu Chieftaincy family land under the land use act ( CAP 202 of 1990) Land use regulation 1982. Legally acquired by viture of DEED OF ASSIGNMENT Dated May 6, 2014.

Centre for Human and Socio- Economic Rights (CHSR)  is baffled with the breach of public peace in Ajiranland as well call the masterminds of the Ojomu community' unstable waters to order for such act is contrary to the orders and authorities of legally constituted, recognised traditional institution of Ajiranland who are the legitimate custodians of culture and heritage as vested under the Lagos state Obas and Chiefs Law of 1981.

The CHSR President Comrade Omotehinse and concerned activists at the press briefing held on the 18th of April, 2023  implored Lagos state Gov. Babajide Olushola Sanwoolu , the Ministry of Land to take the bull by the horn , stop the menace of Land grabbers which is already a thorn on most  Lagos residents, landed properties flesh before it get out of hands.
