COMMANDANT USMAN ALFADARAI HOSTS FIRST LADY OF LAGOS STATE, CELEBRATES FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF SPECIAL FEMALE SQUAD.

In line with the vision of the Commandant General ( CG ), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR, to put an end to attacks often targeted against school children, which include both the female and the male folks in all the states of the federation, the Special Female Squad ( SFS ) was inaugurated at the Corps' National Headquarters, Abuja a few years ago, with its visible reflection in Lagos State amongst others.


The SFS, Lagos State Command, which was inaugurated about a year ago, celebrated the first ( 1st ) anniversary of its establishment yesterday, Friday, 27th January, 2023, at the State Command, Headquarters , Alausa, Ikeja. 


The First lady of Lagos State, Dr Mrs Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo - Olu was respectfully and warmly received yesterday, begining with the inspection of guard at the State Command Headquarters. The State Commandant, Commandant of Corps ( CC ) Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, fdc, mnim, mpa, who was ably represented by Deputy Commandant of Corps ( DCC ) Maria Ihuoma, second - in - command ( 2ic ) to the State Commandant . 


The event, which had in attendance the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr Mrs Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo - Olu, amidst other dignitaries was an opportunity for the Commander of the Squad, Deputy Superintendent of Corps ( DSC ) Ada Agada, to enumerate its functions and how it has carried them out successfully in the state.






















The State Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps ( CC ) Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, Fdc, mpa, mnim, who was away for a pressing national assignment was ably represented at the event by Deputy Commandant of Corps ( DCC ) Maria Ihuoma, second - in - command  ( 2ic ) to the State Commandant.


The 2ic to the Lagos State Commandant, DCC Maria Ihuoma extended the warm salutations of the State Commandant to the First lady of the state and sought her support and that of the Executive Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo - Olu, in the area of operational logistics, capacity building and technological services, which will enable the Squad to achieve their desired goals of stamping out rape, molestation, cultism, bullying, abduction and kidnapping of school children et ce tera.


The First lady of Lagos State, Dr Mrs Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo - Olu, who also graced the event in company of the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials ( COWLSO ) and Graceful Ladies in her keynote address acknowledged the efforts and achievements of the SFS in combatting crimes such as kidnapping, bullying, drug abuse, child molestation and other social vices perpetrated in the school environment. 











Above all she also recognized the fact that the Squad also requires support from the state level in many areas besides whatever support they must have got from the federal government. 


The colourful event anchored by DSC Abolurin Oluwaseun also featured demonstrations  and a drama from the SFS as well as an interactive sessions, presentation of award to the First Lady and cutting of the anniversary cake . 


Present at the event also included Assistant Commandant General Adigun Florence, Head Departments and Units and other senior officers of the command, school children from Chrisland Secondary School, Government Technical College and Vivian Fowler and members of the fourth estate of the realm.


Finally, CC Usman Ishaq Alfadarai avows his unflinching commitment to ensure the protection of both the male and female folks in line with the CG's vision to create a safe and secured learning environment for our school children, against all vulnerabilities leading to high level of insecurity in our nation.
