It was more of a prayer session though.with mini get-together as The Balogun General of Iganmu/Ijora kingdom Alhaji Chief Wasiu Atanda Balogun , who is as well as The Babaloja General of Lagos State clocked 70 !
His first son Sheik Morufdeen Balogun could not but compared his father to an ancient Islamic cleric ( Anobi) with of good quality. Sheik Morudeen affairmed to the media that his father is so strict that none of his children is permitted to show off their father's status outside.
Engineer Abdul-Ramon Balogun defined his father as a Peace loving person and a pathfinder. He showerd prayers on the beloved birthday boy whom he thanked Almighty Allah for his existence.
Mrs Khadiijaht Oladipupo Balogun is Bashorun of Awowo's' first baby girl. She confessed to Insightmagonline News Editor that her father is a disciplinarian to the core, as the environment where they were breed and brought up was filled with social vices with the Babaloja of Lagos state strictness, all his children were able to scale through and attained quality education to the maximum level.
Khadijaht Oladipupo Balogun thanked Almighty Allah for her kind of father as all the Balogun General of Iganmu Ijora children, adopted children, Legislative Council of Coker- Aguda LCDA and Babaloja General dear niece Alhaja Moriamo Ajoke Balogun wished the Patriarch good health, long live and prosperity.
Babaloja General of Lagos state Alhaji Wasiu Atanda Balogun, born on the 2nd day of the month of October, 1952 was celebrated ofcourse by Lagos State various market leaders, religion leaders, leagues of chief Imams, alphas of various mosque he hold one position or the other, traditional leaders:;, representatives of Oba Abdul-Fatai Aremu Aromire ( Ojora of Ijora Kingdom) Political leaders, Hon. Commissiner. Bamigbola, Vice Chairman Coker/ Aguda LCDA, legislative councils of Coker Aguda LCDA who claimed they were on ground to celebrate ' Their Own! The Son of the soil! The father of The Boys! A mentor and a leader indeed!
