Olota of Otta, Awori Kingdom, His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege Ph.D, MCIPR, MPRII, FHEA (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode) was on a working visit to His Excellency, Hon Minister for Works & Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN at his office in Mabushi, Abuja on the 16th of August 2022.


Far reaching discussions were held with the Hon Minister with clear directions to be taken towards ameliorating the conditions of federal road networks that link Lagos - Ota -Abeokuta and Ota -Idiroko and other communities on this most significant industrial corridor in Nigeria outside Lagos. 


While meeting with the Minister, Kabiyesi  hinted the Hon Minister that the recently concluded Otta outbounds Lagos had eased considerably the flow of traffic on the lane whilst looking forward to the completion of other lane, inbounds Ota (Abuje Egba - Ajegunle - Ota  Toll Gate towards Sango under the bridge) in no distant future. Alayeluwa thanked the Minister for partnering/supporting the Executive Governor of Ogun state, Governor Dapo Abiodun, MFR  for the ongoing reconstruction of Atan-Ota/ Agbara/Lusada road among others.


Other top officers of the Ministry who were also at meeting include the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Works and Housing, Mr Bashir Alkani; Director of Construction & Rehabilitation, Mr Evans Folorunso; Mr Damola Kuti (Director, South West) and Mr Yusuf Abideen(Director, Procurement).


Dignitaries in the company of His Majesty include, the Former Deputy Governor of Lagos state & the SSA to President on SDGs, H.E Mrs Adejoke Orelope Adefulire, former Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Comrade Kayode Opeifa  and Chief (Engr) Temitayo Idowu, the Otun Bobagunwa of Otta -Awori Kingdom.
