CHSR Blows Top As The Activists Calls For Caution To Stop Anarchy Of Transportation Sector In Lagos State

 CHSR BLOWS TOP AS THE ACTIVISTS CALLS FOR CAUTION TO STOP ANARCHY OF TRANSPORTATION SECTOR IN LAGOS STATE.

It was a day to behold, a day that most Lagosians has been looking forward to as The Centre For Human And Socio- Economic Rights ( CHSR) blows top in a press conference at The Right House situated at Adeniyi Jones , Ikea area of Lagos.

 

CHSR as a non- governmental  Organisation ( NGO) is a cooperate body that defend, sustain and promote the fundamental human and socioeconomic rights of every Nigerians under the Leadership of Comrade Alex Omotehinse has made it fit to call on the Lagos State government under the Leadership of His Excellency Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu to the recent  coarse and unrest in the city which was as a result of leadership tussle within Lagos chapter of NURTW.



























Though, Com. Omotehinse and the activistso  outrightly condemned the silence of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) under the Leadership of Com. Ayuba Waba which ought to have find means of resolving the dispute within the affiliated union Yet call on Lagos State Government to settle the rancour between the leaders instead of imposing controversial  Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya ( MC Oluomo) and other 25 committee members including Rtd AIG Odumosu as the new Lagos State Parks and Garages Officials. 


Comrade Omotehinse insisted that  lives and properties of Lagos residents is at stake as he siteted the ugly incidents of Fagba, Abattoir attacks by the NURTW members which innocent Lagos residence were Victims of circumstances. 

















Towards the tale end of the press conference stated for the 29th of April, 2022,   Com. Alex Omotehinse , President of CHSR  Implored Lagos State Government to call on MC Oluomo, other stakeholders in transportation sector for a genuine dialogue, Comrade advises Lagos State House of Assembly to reconvene another emergency plenary section that will comprises all stakeholders including civil society to debate a way out and fashion reasonable solution before the issue degenerate beyond expectations, Com. Alex also pleaded with The Lagos State Commissioner of Police that his officers should maintain peace and order indeed and be  neutral in approaching the issues at hand rather than protecting one against another.

The President CHSR   concluded by informing  the media at the press conference that " There won't be a retreat for redress in court if within 7 days  Lagos State Government has not taken any resolvable step to stop this unnecessary unrest caused by the members of NURTW in the Mega city not now that 2023 election is far approaching  for promotion of fundamental human rights as well as peaceful co existence is the organisation concern.
