16TH ANNUAL MEMORIAL ANNIVERSARY OF BEKO RANSOME- KUTI (1940-2006)

In the spirit of oneness and voice of solidarity, unrepentant Comrades , activists assembled at ' The Right House ' to honour the renown activist late Dr. Bekololari Ransome - Kuti ( 2nd August 1940- 10th February, 2006)
Committee for The Defence Of Human Rights CDHR, Lagos chapter gathered for the late activist 16th annual memorial anniversary with the theme "
16 YEARS AFTER BEKO AND THE STRUGGLE FOR AN OPPRESSED FREE NIGERIA" and SUB THEME : Insecurity, Police Brutality, Labour protest, Unstoppable Democracy and 2023 -- Which way Nigeria?
The keynote speaker Barr Femi Falana (SAN ) who is the BOT Chairman CDHR was unavoidably absent but able represented by Barr. Malachi Ugwujmandu the immediate past President CDHR.
The hall at the last floor of the Rights House was filled to the brim with rapt attention to Com. Kehinde Adeoye the CDHR state chairman's speech who analysed Beko's passion for the masses though a medical doctor turned activist as fore-fronter of the struggle for the emaciation of Nigerians from the hands of oppressors particular the government.
The 1st CDHR President for 6 years do not hesitate to Condemn any form of human rights violation from any quarters and 16 years after Beko's demise insecurity, police brutality,labour protests, students unrest, ASUU strike and other forms of irregularities still persist.
Towards the end of his speech, Com.. Kehinde enjoin Nigeria journalists to use the pen which is the only weapon at their disposal to expose all forms of human degeneration, suppression and the likes until Nigerians become totally free from all forms of violation for which was what Beko died for.
In honour of the Colossus's 16th memorial anniversary on Thursday, the 10th of February, 2022 was Beko's Loyalists, seasonal activists, students and citizens yearning for better Nigeria and of course the media.
