Apapa council boss calls for CSR to reposition LG

(NAN) Mrs Idowu Senbanjo, the Executive Chairman of Apapa Local Government in Lagos State has called for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from corporate organisations to support her vision in rebuilding the local government.
Senbanjo gave the disclosure during her courtesy visit to Flour Mill Nigeria (FMN) Wharf Road, Apapaon Monday.
According to her, the CSR will assist the local government to an enviable height.
The chairman said her vision was to transform transform the council to a modern port city, safer, cleaner and conducive for business to thrive.
She however, called for partnership with the Apapa local government as part of FMN CSR functions to help in environmental aesthetics.

Mr Omoboyede Olusanya, the Group Managing Director (GMD) of FMN who played host to the council chairman and her management team and her team said that the organisation has not joked with CSR activities.
According to him, FMN has always ensure a sustainable environment wherever they operate with focus on Education, Health and Power.
Olusanya added that FMN has helped in road rehabilitations, clearing of drains and rebuilt of school in the past.
"We however promised FMN's support to the LG more because our organisation has never joked with CSR functions and has always ensure a sustainable environment wherever we operate with focus on Education, Health and Power," he said. (NAN)
