350 residents benefit from BWI free medical outreach in Badagry

Lagos, Oct. 22, 2021 (NAN) The Beulah Initiatives (BWI) a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) said that 350 residents in Badagry in Lagos State have benefitted from its free medical outreach.


The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the free medical outreach held as part of the activities marking the 1st anniversary of the coronation the Royal Father Samuel Olusegun, Wheto Shewhenu Toyon 1

Ms Chichi Ononiwu, the Visioner of Beulah World Initiative, said in a statement on Friday remarks  the free medical services programme was initiated by God to cater for humanity.


"Our mission is to advance the quality of life of rural and sub-urban communities in Sub-Saharan Africa through the improvement of health, the support of education, the enhancement of social responsibility and poverty alleviation.


"We also have a vision to promote decent quality of life in African communities via the drive for communal responsibility and care about the plight of our neighbour thereby preserving the sanity of the human society," she said.


According to her, we have been to about 58 communities so far and still counting, we have also had a good number of Outreaches to orphanages, Children’s Homes, widows and to Secondary Schools.


Ononiwu said that Badagry free medical outreach involved medical test/ treatment, eye test/treatment, eye glasses for reading, health/ nutritional talk, free food stuff and clothing items.


She urged both international and local organisations to support BWI in giving quality life to the people.


"We have only been supported by friends who believe in the vision we are driving, we are appealing to government and other organisations to support our initiatives," she added.


The royal father in his remarks thanked God for seeing the 4th coronation anniversary.


"We thank God for seeing the 4th coronation anniversary programme but we count it a feat for this medical outreach to be included in this programme. 


"That is why we requested assistance from Beulah World Initiative for the benefit of our people and as you can see, my people really appreciate this, that is why they came out en-mass.


"Those who don’t have opportunity to go to the hospital are here to collect free drugs, I am using this opportunity to thank the BWI for what they have done for the community. 


"Thank you very much for what you are doing may God continue to bless your NGO," the royal fatcommunity 


Dr Timothy Onuigbo, a volunteer doctor at the event said it was a very impactful programme.


The outreach has good impact on both the communities being reached out to, and the people who are voluntarily involved in organising and reaching out to the communities. 


"It gives an opportunity to positively touch lives through selflessness service," the doctor said.



Chief Kappo Baale Fonsameh one of the beneficiaries thanked BWI saying  that of all the organisations that visited the area the NGO has impacted much into the community.


"You people has done the most job, We are really grateful for what you have done for our community today; may God continue to bless and prosper all that you do so you can keep visiting us," he said.


NAN reports that residents of Badagry and its environs benefitted from the BWI medical outreach.
