   Mushin is an ancient town of centuries in Lagos mainland under the authority of HRM OBA FATAI AYINLA AILERU ( THE OLUMUSHIN )  who has been on the throne of Kingship for over 42 years.

       Mushin derives her name from a particular  tree call (ISHIN ) . Mushin is  known for commerce with industrous indigenes which goes with a popular saying of  " MUSHIN Ajina doru" Which literally means when it come to buying and selling , Mushin as a whole dont go to sleep, sales is 24-7, none stop! And this is link to Obatala one of the Yoruba gods who formed the popular OJUWOYE market in Mushin according to Araba of Mushin.

   

  Chief Akinyemi, The Asiwaju Oje Abore of Mushin and also the chairman of MUSHIN ISESE DAY 2021 in his chat with Journalist give kudos to OLUMUSHIN , he made it known that Kabiesi Oba Ayinla AILERU cherish ISESE so much which bring  total tranquility to Mushin for over years. Abore also explained further that a lot of appease has been made to  goddess of wealth ( Aje ) and other gods on the eve of Isese day so August 20 is just for merry making.

   ISESE is a way of appeasing to gods of the YORUBAS  who are intermediary between OLODUMARE and the people says High Chief Fagbemi . These gods has been in existence before the advent of Islamic and Christainty religion. So, Isese is a way of celebrating the Yoruba gods just as the Moslems and Christains Celebrate Jesus and Muhammad , The Olori Oluwo Ijo Orunmila and The Araba of Mushin Land concluded.

 

     

  Chief ( Dr) Awodele Ajayi The Anifaoniwaju 11 of Nigeria and Erinmi of Mushin Land in his interview with Insightmagonline says ISESE is for the Africans, because ORUNMILA is sent to Africans by OLODUMARE especially the YORUBAS which is why The YORUBAS has no other God than Orunmila and with the inputs and impact of HRM OBA AILERU, Mushin residence cherish worshiping the gods who has been wonderful to them in all ramifications.

     Baale Oke Mushin , High Chief Tajudeen Faronbi was delighted because Isese day is celebrated at his domain Oke Mushin every year. Baale honours Kabiesi for his concern over everything that has to do with Mushin especially coming to ones root (ISESE)  Baale Faronbi on his final note believe Chief Elegushi and others  has been doing their best regards August 20 holiday, he  appeal to all traditionalist to be one for there is strength in unity . Baale and AATREN Patron Mushin chapter Chief Awodele implored the Lagos State Gov. to giveThe Traditional Religion a recorgnision of declaring AUGUST 20 of every year a public holiday. " Our religion is pure, I advise all traditionalist to be pure in their dealings" AATREN Patron concluded.

     

 

 Also in attendance of Year 2021 Mushin Isese Day  was representative of Hon . Bamigboye Chairman Mushin LG in person Mr Jubril Ayodele of Chieftaincy office who was very delighted to be in such gathering. Though ,  he is not in position to say anything regards August 20 holiday declaration but urges all traditionalist not to be weary in appeasing to the ancestors for their impacts in the society speaks volume.

   

   Thoughtful speech was delivered by Chief Ifaniyi Ogunlola from Abeokuta alongside with various display , dancing steps and beats , where celebrants appeared in different regalia / attaire which prove to the world  that  Yorubas are culturally and traditionally endowed.
