At the *7th Annual Constituency Stakeholders Meeting* Organized By The Lagos State House Of Assembly.
Hosted By *Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu* (MHA IKEJA 02), the *National Youth Council Of Nigeria Ikeja Local Branch* Under the auspices of coordinator *Comr WALE AMOLE*, and other Executives and functionaries of the Youth Council
In line with the theme of the program: *Increasing Wave of Drug Abuse: A Threat to Nation Building*, different youth Organizations *(Religious,Voluntary, Uniform, Community Based, Political and Traditional)*, and of various cadres including school students were well present.
The Coordinator NYCN Ikeja in his speech appreciated the Chief Host, *Hon. ADEDAMOLA RICHARD KASUNMU* (MHA IKEJA 02), all our Youthful Youth all religious, community, political, educational and traditional leaders of the Council.
In his speech he noted out several programs, visitations and lectures the youth body organized on assumption to office, as regards spread and acts of drug abuse,
In corroboration of his words, he raised an opinion of policy formulation to the Chief Host on having a guardian/counselor in every organization as it will help people pour out their troubled mind during depression and receive lasting solutions rather than depending on drugs which could make them go high and forget their predicaments for short periods and thereby leading to addiction. He pointed out other opinions to all leaders, like engaging our youths with vocations, employment and empowerment, as it is a measure to get us busy. An idle hand is the devil's workshop they say.
He further requested for the support of all leaders of the council at all cadres to give maximum encouragement and aid to the Youth Council in order to ease our progressive executions and ensure sanity in the community.
