The Centre for Human and Socioeconomic Rights ( CHSR) is a service oriented Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) . A registered corporate body to defend, sustain and promote the fundamental and Socioeconomic rights of every Nigerians according to Nigeria Constitution and that of ( ACHPR ).
Recently, there was a Stakeholders Conference regards Lagos State Local Government Election with The
* Theme : The Role of The Political Parties, The Electoral Body, The Security Agencies And The Citizenry Towards A Genuine Grassroot Participatory Democracy.*

Mr Alex Omotehinse ( President CHSR ) addresses a lot of issues concerning LG / LCDA election which is of the grassroot which is necessary to put the agencies on notice and likewise to educate the electorates in order to guide against unforeseen circumstances for the election of Chairmanship seats in Lagos State across 57 local government and LCDA is not a do or die affairs. On this note, Youths as Nigeria leaders of tomorrow should not gives themselves out to any Political Parties as a tools of violence nor destruction for just a token because their future is very pqramont..
Mr Omotehinse said and I quote " We Challenge our youths in various Local Government and LCDAs to shun violence and embrace peace by joining any Political party of their choice and start contesting for elective position and stop allowing themselves to be used as a political thugs to snatch ballot boxes and causes electoral violence for a peanut"
Rt. Hon. Kuforiji who is also the chairman of the distinguish occasion in his speech agrees Nigeria situation at hand needs an urgent attention, though Democracy is difficult to achieve but very easy to lose and for Nigeria to have a true grassroot democracy, INEC must not only be independent in theory but also in reality. Rt. Hon. Adeyemi salutes the courage of other political parties who stood firm in their believe to contest against the party in power for Nigeria nor Lagos state is not a one party system of government.
The CP of Lagos State representative, DCP Kontagura spoke to some length regards Security, himself and NSCDC Boss representative DC Apeh assured the audience and the good people of Lagos State maximum security of lives and properties during and after the LG / LCDA election.
Also present at this year 2021 stakeholders memorable gathering of expressions was Barr. Olasupo Ojo, Com. Bayo Akinlade , notable and reknown Comrades and Activities which LASIEC , invited APC leaders, including Hon Balogun Chairman Ikeja local government who suppose be the host was unavoidable absent!
