The Igbo Speaking Community Women's Wings Lagos Chapter which leader is Chief Mrs Gloria Amaizu under the Chairmanship of Sir Sydney Chukwukelu in commemoration of Mothers Day Celebration put smiles on widows, Youths and less privileges faces on Saturday, 10th of July, 2021.
The special guests of the humanitarian event was Hon. Chief Judge Emeka ( Omobowale) Idimogu and his Betterhalf Lady Mrs Roseline Eniitan Idimogu who represented the first lady of Lagos Her Excellency Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu. It was a gathering of Humanity coupled with culture and traditions of the Igbos.
Files of traditional rulers, chiefs , elders,, community leaders, Business men and women with young vibrant Igbo traditonal dancers to lighten up the spirit of the audience at the fund raising and empowerment.
Lagos first lady representative, Lady Mrs Roseline Eniitan Idimogu was impressed with such empowerment program for the needful mind. In her speech , she was glad to be among the progressive of same ideas and notion in moving Lagos State forward by reaching out to Widows, Youths and the less privileges. In Mrs Roselyn Eniitan Idimogu Interview with the media , she expresses her joy for memorable empowerment even though the invitation was impromptu. Lady Roseline Idimogu was overwhelmed with the award presented to the first Lady Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and promise to give the first lady an outstanding feedback regards The Igbo Speaking Women empowernmt which no tribe is excluded . And very soon the first Lady will be glad to meet with the central working Committee progressively one on one talk in moving Lagos State forward.
Hon. Jude Idimogu who is also The Igbo reresentative in The Lagos House of Assembly speaks volume of the empowernmt and fund raising for the destitutes, which he has come to contribute his quota . Hon. then implored everyone , well meaning Nigerians to be his or her brother's keeper, though APC government is doing her best possible to reach out to concern citizens yet, no amount or gift is small to save a life. Hon. Jude as a politician do not hesitate to remind Igbo brethrens to troop out in mass in the Lagos forthcoming local government election and vote for the progressive party through online registration by INEC which make voting easier.
Among those that gave The Igbo Speaking Women a standing ovation for the empowernmt was also Eze Ndigbo Umeh JP of Mushin/ Odiolowo, High Chief Iwuala, Chief Mrs Okigbo Ngozi (Awardee), Mrs Vera Osuagwu and other numerous guests who believes there is blessing in given and reaching out to the less privileges, urges government to partner with the Igbo Speaking Women Initiatives so poverty, crimes and other vices can be eradicated in Lagos and in Nigeria as a whole for an idle mind is the devil's workshop.
