The State Commandant of NSCDC
AnambraState Command, *Comdt* *Vincent Ogu JP,* in furtherance with his promise to synergize with other Security Agencies in the State in the fight against all forms of criminality, today *Tuesday, 6th of July* , *2021* visited the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force ( NPF) .The visits afforded the State Commandant an opportunity to rob minds with the heads of the two Agencies with the promise to work cooperatively and collectively to fight crimes to the barest minimum in the State.
At the Department of State Services (DSS) Headquarters Awka, Mr. Ogu expressed profound gratitude for the warm reception accorded him. He informed the Director State Services that the purpose of his visit was to extend a hand of fellowship to the Service and to build on the already existing cordial relationship between the two Agencies in Intelligence gathering and exchange of Security information to avoid Security breach in the State.
Comdt. Ogu further stressed the need for all Agencies to be united and focused in order to sustain the excellent record of Anambra State in Security matters.
In his response, *Mr. Michael Obaje* , the State Director of Security, Department of State Services while thanking the NSCDC boss for the visit noted that the need for such interaction with Sister Agencies cannot be over emphasized. He acknowledged the fact that cooperation between Security Agencies is key in gaining trust and confidence of the people. The DSS Director commended the level of confidence the Service entrust to NSCDC personnel as partners in Joint Operations. Mr. Obaje promised the State Commandant of his open- door policy and willingness of the Service under his watch to maintain an unprecedented cordial relationship with the Corps.
At the Police Headquarters, the NSCDC boss told the Commissioner of Police, *Mr. Chris Owolabi* that the policy of his administration is to foster inter- agency cooperation with stakeholders and other Security outfits, seek their collaboration , share information and Intelligence among other necessary needs to put a stop to any form of crimes and criminality in the State. He called on the Commissioner of Police to see the Corps as partners in progress in sustaining the continued peace and stability in the State.
While welcoming the NSCDC boss, the Police Commissioner, *Mr. Chris* *Owolabi* , posited that the Nigerian Police is ever- ready to support, assist and collaborate with the Corps. While commending the Corps on the level of professionalism in discharging its constitutional role, called on the Corps to remain focused at all times.
CP. Owolabi reiterated Nigerian Police stance to having very good operational relationship with relevant stakeholders in the fight against criminality.
The dual visit came to an end with both Service Commanders agreeing to synergize in the protection of lives and properties of Ndi Anambra and residents alike.
