It was a gathering of The Lions on Sunday, the 27th of June, 2021 at the official installation of The Classic Lions Club President Princess Lilian Chinyere Odumosu with intending members of leadership and supervision for the service to humanity.
At the Charter Presentation of Lagos Classic Lions Club, was Lion Blessing Uzoamaka Umebali, The Convener and a Guiding Lion stated that ' The birth of the club became necessary as the demand to reach out and touch more lives of the poor, the needy and vulnerable in our society was paramount as government can’t do all alone '
The Convener further said, ” when we have more clubs all over the nation and across the world it will enhance the production of services because more clubs means more impactful service.
Lion Umebali, emphasized ' Service to humanity is the best culture to imbibe because one single act of service rendered gives satisfaction to the giver and the receiver is happier '
She expressed her gratefulness to the Lions club which has given her the opportunity to bag International recognition Award once precisely in Chicago quoted Mother Theresa who once said, " If you can not feed the nation feed an individual "
Lion Blessing gives God the honour for making the Charter presentation a huge success.
The convener, Lion Umebali, also appreciated The club for the Humanitarian Award she received with much love from The Charter President , Lion Lilian Odumosu.
Lion Blessing was also grateful to the District Governor, Lion Ademola Adesoye, for the opportunity given her to convey Lagos Classic Lions Club. She recognizes the effort of The Zone Chairperson who also is a guiding Lion, Lion John Oriazowan for his selfless service to humanity; then to Ikeja Metro Lions Club , the sponsoring club as well as Lion Kayode Oshinuga, First Vice District Governor, was not left out of her sincere appreciation.
The Charter President Princess Lilian Chinyere Odumosu expresses her joy over the club installation ceremony to serve the humanity and pledged to implement her projects for the year on Feed the Hunger, Planting of trees, addressing cancer in Children alao reaching out to the less privileges . Fourteen (14 ) awardees were honoured with Award of Excellence.
The District Governor 404B2, Nigeria, Lion (Dr) Adesoye Ademola Ayodele congratulate The Charter President of The Lagos Classic Club Princess Lilian Odumosu for so far Classic Lion club is the 19th in the year . He explained to the media at the event that " It was part of Lions club success stories and admonished that only way to retain the legacy is to touch lives for the society wish to know what Lion Club stands for.
Lion Ademola stated also that one needs to tell people Lions are loving individuals who offered needed services for lions clubmen are liberty intelligence of a nation safety.
District Governor however stated that Nigeria as a country need a progressive solution not a division. Nigerians needs to know that changing our orientation towards the way we rule ourselves is the answer . He appealed to Nigerians to continue to live in the unity of purpose and build Nigeria for better nation.
The Executive Chairman of Yaba LCDA, Hon. Elder Kayode Omiyale expresses his joy for been among The Humanitarians , prayed for The Classic Club Charter President Odumosu , eulogies her for the kind gesture and look forward to her best possible in service to humanity.
Hon. Omiyale in his interview with the Journalists pleaded with the APC candidates who lost out in the last primary election to be of good cheers for God's time is always the best. The Incubent Yaba LCDA Chairman believes no efforts and money is wasted that the party leaders could do it well to compensate them in one way.or.the other ..Hon. concluded by appealing to the candidates to obey the decision of the party leader. He explained further tha the government still has intentions to move the unemployed Nigeria youths out of the street by promising to give the the masses a better dividend of democracy, touching the lives of women including improvement of environmental sanitation on drainages.
The keynote speaker, who is also an Executive Coach in grooming Nigeria Youths , Mrs Janet Adetu said women of today are stepping up to get results and needed to be encouraged in making a different . Women needs to position and discipline themselves for greatness, you need not to settle for less if you want to grow ! She concluded by saying " No one needs to be left out in giving back to the society"
Distinguish guests at Lion Odumosu's Honour were Media Executive and Entrepreneur, Mrs Seun Oyedeji, Chief of protocol for the District Governor, Lion Seyi Michael Akinade and The District Governor Elect Lion Kayode Oshinuga.
