Lagos LG Poll :No Election In Agege As SLG Was Alleged Of Hiring Thugs To Disrupt The Election.

 LAGOS  LG POLL:  NO ELECTION IN AGEGE AS SLG ( Secretary To The Local Gov.) WAS ALLEGED OF HIRING HOODLUMS TO DISRUPT THE ELECTION.

Today May 29, 2021 Primary election of Agege Local Government Chairmanship seat was nothing to write home about as the enthusiasm of the voters who actually needed change of batton in Agege Local Government Chairmanship and councillorship was frustrated . 

 Insightmagonline noticed how voters young adults and oldies come out in mass in to Ward F at Keke Primary School Compund as early as possible to cast their vote. initially , voters were call into the ward in of 10s for accreditation which almost do not find their names in the accredited list. All of  a sudden some boys emerged from no where threatening voters , chasing them.out of the polling unit, these boys get hold of the electoral materials  destroyed it without been questioned by any one neither by the police  assigned to the ward. The democracy that the Agege residence actually yarn for overwhelmed them when they insisted their vote must count and refused to leave the school premises.

 It will be noted that same scenario repeated it self in all the 7 wards in Agege. When the Chairmanship aspirants were contacted on phone, their responses was no primary election in Agege today , the hoodlums and hired thuge kill the zeal of the good people of Agege who came out in mass to excersice their franchise. 

Insightmagonline further learnt that the Chairmanship aspirants names do not appear in the accreditation list except that of the incubent chairman of Agege Hon. Ganiu Egunjobi. 

More so, Insightmagonline gathered that some  hoodlums that disrupted the voting activities in ward B were ushered in  by Secretary to Agege  local Gov. (SLG) which was his repeated action in 2017,  four years ago during the Chairmanship election which brought Hon. Ganiu Egunjobi to power. When Mr Gbenga Abiola the SLG was  contacted on phone regards this  allegations, he refused the media calls and eventually switched off his phone as at the time of filling this report.

 The situation would have gotten out of hand if not for the intervention of  Officer of Task force Egbeyemi and his team RRS who made some arrest and mounted the party secretariat where hoodlums had already broken the louvres  with pebbles and litters the floor of the street with electoral materials. 

 As at filling this report Hon. Egunjobi Promises to speak with Journalists which he never did but what others  Agege Chairmanship aspirants in person of  Hon. Olusola Osolana, Hon. SesanfunmiAdegbite, Hon. Nurudeen Sofidiya and Prince Ogunji  had to say was to plead with APC Agege party leaders to reschedule another date for the Primary election which the venue must be  at ACME at the APC party Secretariat ground for maximum Security of voters , electorate and electoral materials without any distraction!
