IRETI RESOURCE CENTRE-- Sensitisation at Alimosho -- Agbado/ Oke-Odo LCDA.
IRETI resource center is an initiative of women's Right and Health Project which existence is over 12years as claimed by Mrs Nnoma Ezuma a center assistance with IRETI resource center explained to Insightmagonline at the 1st of April Agbado-Oke campaign against rape, sexually abuse, chil maltreatment and the likes which was held as a town hall meeting in Meiran area of Lagos. Alimosho has the highest rate of rapes so with this Mrs Bose the executive director with collaboration of the security personals, LG / LCDA'chairman , artisans, market men and women embark on 3days awareness in eradicating this menace in Alimosho / Agbado-Oke-Odo commuty and all the six LCDA. According to Mrs Nnoma and Mrs Abosede Adedayo who is coordinator of Agbado-Oke-Odo artisans, survivors are been taking care of by WRAHP and with the asisstance of the security personals, Oba Alajasa of Ajasa , Onimeran of Meiran and other concern citizens in the community so far so good abuser has been brought to book. INSIGHTMAGONLINE spoke with Mr Oyero Abayomi, Joseph Cynthia and Mrs.Abike Makanjuola and some in attendance at the Meiran town hall meeting, sigh of relief was all over their faces when they had to express the joy of being part of the lecture and promised to make use of what they learn and also pass the message across to neighbors. In conclusion those in attendance appreciated IRETI resource centre and WRHAP for this initiative
Other services of IRETI recourse centre include counselling and therapy, psycho-social support services and commuty legal clinic.
