Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof, the former husband of A-list actress, Funke Akindele, has lost his mother, Alhaja Taiwo Oloyede Almaroof.
The octogenarian died peacefully on Sunday at her residence in Ikeja.
Alhaja Almaroof, who was a former Iyaloja of Oshodi will be buried today according to Islamic rites.
Kehinde, popularly known as Kenny Doo is said to be devastated by the death of her mother.
He paid an emotional tribute to Alhaja Almaroof after her death.
"I lost my dear mum, I never thought this moment will come so soon but Almighty God knows best
"Sleep well my better half, I love you and will forever celebrate you my love."
He would, however, not be able unable to attend her burial.
Kenny Doo, who is aspiring to be the next Chairman of Oshodi Local government is presently in the Middle East on vacation.
Alhaja was said to have tried her best to make sure the marriage between her son and Akindele went well.
